Alex joined HRW in September 2012, as a Trainee Field Controller, after graduating from Loughborough University with a BSc in Information Management and Business Studies. He gained an interest in market research when completing his dissertation
during his final year at university and was especially interested to learn more about how market research is used to support business decisions outside of the academic world.
Outside of work Alex enjoys socialising with friends, playing rugby for a local team and staying fit by getting to the gym a couple of times a week.
Amy joined HRW in March 2010 and is our Senior Field Manager, having come from her career working in the music industry for 13 years. She brings with her lots of experience in team management, negotiations and administration which will stand her in good stead for building HRW's brand new field department.
Outside of work, Amy enjoys shopping and spending time with her daughter often trying to decide where to holiday next!
Caitlin joined HRW in October 2010 as a Trainee Field Controller; prior to joining she completed a Higher Education Diploma in Fashion and Textiles and gained experience working in Market Research having worked as a telephone interviewer part time while studying.
In her spare time she loves shopping, socialising with friends whilst enjoying a drink in the sun and holidaying to sunny destinations on the beach.
Caroline has been Managing Director of HRW since its birth in 2001.
Following completion of a PhD in Physiology (researching Stress Susceptibility in Pigs no less), Caroline started her career in the pharmaceutical industry as a medical representative. Fourteen years, and a wide variety of sales and marketing roles later, Caroline expanded her horizons, joined HRW and hasn't looked back.
When she isn't shoe shopping, Caroline loves to spend time in the French Alps - either walking in the summer or skiing (or is it aprés skiing?) in the winter.
Catherine graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a degree in Pharmacology. Her keen interest in science, medicine and human behaviour guided her towards the healthcare market research sector, and she has never looked back.
She joined HRW in October 2012, bringing with her varied experience of qualitative and quantitative international research projects; and a passion for gaining an in-depth understanding of the market context of different therapy areas.
In her spare time, Catherine enjoys live music, live comedy, travel and cooking- specialising in attempting highly ambitious recipes (with varying degrees of success!)
Céline joined HRW in April 2013 after finishing her master's degree in market research at the University of Granada (Spain), having previously graduated from Lancaster University with a Bachelor of Business Administration.
She has a keen interest in novel market research techniques and has published peer-reviewed academic research in the Journal of Economic Psychology. She is particularly interested in revealing the drivers of HCPs' prescribing behaviour in the context
of each therapy area, competitive landscape and product.
In her spare time, Celine enjoys exploring the British countryside, biking and playing tennis.
Claire joined HRW in January 2011 after reading Geography at Jesus College, Cambridge University. For her final year dissertation Claire conducted her own primary research in Borneo, which explored how governmental pursuits of national unity and identity are perceived in the rural highlands. After graduating Claire briefly worked in accountancy before deciding her passions lay with research. She is thoroughly looking forward to developing her career with HRW.
Clare started her MR career in consumer research in 1995, and spent 2 years working for an agency in West Africa, making use of her fluent French, before developing a qualitative specialism and becoming drawn to the healthcare sector. Clare has worked
exclusively in Pharma since 2005, and she particularly enjoys helping clients to understand the needs and motivations of multiple customer groups, and to develop ways to effectively support and communicate with them.
In her spare time, Clare can be found chasing around after her sporty son, ferrying djembe drums across London, enjoying a Zumba class, or getting lost in a good book (or even a fairly rubbish one!).
David is the founder and CEO of the MMR Group, including HRW. He is also Visiting Professor in the School of Chemistry, Food Biosciences and Pharmacy at the University of Reading (UK).
He has been involved in sensory and consumer science for well over 30 years and is a regular speaker at international conferences.
David's current interests include the nature of human conceptualization and how this influences reward and hence choice.

Emma joined HRW in 2012 with 6 years of market research experience. She specialises in both qualitative and quantitative research, and has a wide range of experience across many different methodologies and therapy areas. She has a particular interest in qualitative techniques and understanding what motivates people to make the choices that they do.
In her spare time, Emma enjoys theatre, travel, reading and spending time with her friends and family. She is also a qualified dance teacher and likes to keep her hand in the field by trying out lots of new dance classes.
Emma joined HRW in August 2013 after completing a BA in History at Durham University. Healthcare market research provided the perfect opportunity to combine her enjoyment of getting to the bottom of a research problem, with an interest in healthcare and a desire to gain more knowledge on research techniques.
She enjoys horse riding, shopping, baking, painting and curling up with a good novel.
Es joined HRW in 2005 and has worked in research since graduation. She designs and manages domestic and international projects and has worked across therapy areas and HRW's portfolio of methodologies. She loves the variety of her role and range
of clients and projects she collaborates on and is proud to have won the Best Customer Insight award at the BHBIA BOBIs in 2010.
Es keeps herself very busy in her spare time; socialising, running, cycling, reading, learning Italian and seeing the world whenever she can.
Frances joined HRW in January 2011 after graduating with a degree in English Language and Linguistics from the University of Sheffield. She enjoys both qualitative and quantitative research in equal measure and has conducted research in a wide range of therapy areas, both in the UK and internationally. Her particular areas of interest include understanding the patient perspective, orphan indications and rare disease management, as well as market understanding projects.
Outside of work, Frances enjoys world cinema, travel and pub quizzes. She also has a love of cooking and enjoys nothing more than experimenting with Italian and Thai cuisine!
Gillian joined HRW in 2008 and is one of HRW's Board Directors. Gillian gets really excited about the prospect of a new study and whether UK or global, qual or quant, she can't help but start thinking about how we will deliver fresh insights and make the
research outputs truly actionable as soon as we start discussing a new RFP. Gillian has spent most of her working life in healthcare market research (agency and client side) and has a particular interest in specialist therapy areas, especially oncology.
Gillian tends to spend most of her time outside of work running around after her children, hosting her 'famous' lasagne dinner parties and fitting in a Pilates class wherever she can.
Huw joined HRW in September 2011 after graduating from Plymouth University with a BSc in Events Management. After spending a year in our field team, Huw is now part of the research team.
He brings his organisational skills and his previous experience of working in market research as a telephone moderator on a range of quantitative and qualitative projects. Huw enjoys writing and recording music in his spare time as well as running,
hiking and mountain biking. He also spends his summers endeavouring to attend every music festival he can.
Jane joined the HRW team in September 2013 and has been in market research since 1997, specialising in mystery shopping and consumer satisfaction for the hospitality and leisure sector then moving into healthcare in 2001.
Jane has gained considerable experience across a wide range of therapy areas, both qual and quant market research, and has a particular interest in emotional insights, patient research and turning information into insights and 'a story'. What Jane loves most about market research is that no two days are ever the same and you still learn something new on every project!
In her spare time Jane is kept busy being a mum to three young (and very active!) children, going to the gym, running or biking around Richmond and Bushy Park, dreaming about buying an Aston Martin and enjoying catching up with friends and family - usually involving good food and wine!

Jeanette joined HRW in 2005. She stumbled across healthcare market research some years ago, and enjoyed it from the start. In addition to her Board roles, Jeanette regularly designs, directs and manages qualitative and quantitative international
research across HRW's portfolio of clients.
Jeanette can frequently be found shopping for handbags and "sparkly things" in Wallingford and when she's at home, loves cooking with her husband, walking their two Staffordshire Bull Terriers (Louie and Charley - well known characters to the HRW team),
reading and watching football.
Jessica joined HRW in September 2012 after graduating from the University of Edinburgh with a degree in Reproductive Biology. She was looking for a job that would combine her love for science, healthcare and fascination for understanding people and
what drives their decisions. Healthcare market research was the perfect opportunity to explore all of these and she is thrilled to join the team and broaden her experience of different therapy areas as well as gain more in depth knowledge of qualitative and
Jessica loves all kinds of music and sings in a choir in Oxford. She has also started to teach herself guitar, and next on the list is French. She likes to spend the weekends with her friends and is always thinking about her next travelling adventure!
Katy joined HRW in February 2012 after having worked in pharmaceutical market research in both the US and UK since 2007. She has an MSc in Communications from the London School of Economics and is constantly seeking creative ways of combining approaches to understand both the immediate and longitudinal resonance of messages and potential for products.
In her spare time, Katy enjoys listening to The Beatles, running marathons all over the world (6 and counting), and travelling to wine regions with her oenophile husband.
Since joining HRW at the end of 2009, Kirsty has worked on a range of qualitative and quantitative research projects in both large, multi-market and smaller, UK focused studies. Kirsty has worked in a variety of therapy areas including oncology,
diabetes, HIV, RA, Cardiovascular, Respiratory, Endocrinology and Neurology.
In her spare time, Kirsty enjoys going to see live comedy events, making cakes, reading and going to see a lot of films. She has recently taken up spinning, and hopes that this will kick start a new healthy regime!
Kristina joined HRW in October 2012 as a Business & Research Assistant, having previously gained a National Diploma in Business Studies at Henley College.
Kristina has over 5 years Business Support experience and strong organisational skills. Since joining the team, Kristina has assisted the team on a number of different projects across a whole host of elements from resource planning to team organisation.
In her spare time Kristina loves to travel, socialise with friends and to shop! She is a sporty person who enjoys sailing with her family and swimming on a regular basis.
Lucy joined HRW in September 2013 with over 4 years' experience in pharma market research. She is experienced at conducting international and UK projects smoothly, and is passionate about exploring insights with HCPs and patients. She enjoys trying out new techniques and approaches to market research.
Lucy graduated from Loughborough University with a BA (Hons) in Politics with a Minor in Social Psychology. She loves chocolate, swimming, Zumba, reading, walks in the country, and cats on the internet.
Luke joined HRW in 2009, following his time at a Word Of Mouth research agency. Luke has interests in social media, brand perception and diabetes. He also has experience in research via social networking and studied marketing as a part of a varied college course.
Marissa joined HRW in October 2010 after completing an MA in the History and Philosophy of Science and Medicine at Durham University, which was funded by the Wellcome Trust. Being a Research Executive at HRW is her first professional job after leaving university, but she has had a long term interest both in health care provision and research.
After doing a dissertation on patient narratives from depressed Victorian intellectuals, Marissa felt right at home with some of the innovative qualitative methods employed by HRW. In her spare time she likes belly dancing which caters to her love of all things sparkly.

Nicola started her career in market research in 1996 and has worked across a broad spectrum of different categories including OTC, pharmaceutical and FMCG. With a strong focus on analysis and interpretation she aims to find sound business solutions and opportunities for HRWs clients, often combining both qualitative and quantitative approaches.
Outside of work, Nicola unwinds with regular yoga classes - sometimes as a student and often as the teacher.
Having spent the previous 8 years working in B2C and B2B research, at first Harris Interactive and later Maven Research, Paul joined HRW in January 2011. Paul is very experienced in both quantitative and qualitative research, having managed projects
across a wide variety of sectors and markets. He now works in our analytics team and enjoys the challenge of working across a broad range of therapy areas.
At the weekends, Paul can normally be found at the Madejski Stadium, cheering on his beloved Reading FC, or down the pub, thinking up ideas for the next in a long line of fancy dress charity football matches he tries to organise every year.
Pete worked for HRW in 2006 as a freelancer and enjoyed the experience so much, he joined permanently in January 2007, with previous experience across pharmaceutical, retail, print media, B2B and FMCG. Pete has managed a wide variety of UK and
international projects across a range of therapy areas. Pete's healthcare experience spans a host of different categories, but includes a focus on OTC, nutrition, baby care, dermatology and allergies.
At weekends, Pete enjoys being with his family, and dreams of the next trip to the Lake District. He sneaks out on the mountain bike into the Chilterns when possible, even if it's not quite as exciting as climbing Blencathra or Crinkle Crags. Pete also has a
love for all things Italian including the language, people, architecture and of course the food!
Rob Joined HRW in June 2011, having previously spent five years within healthcare market research, leading domestic and international research projects. Rob enjoys getting to the depth of the challenges that healthcare brands face, and understanding how they can be overcome, across different markets and therapy areas. Rob's healthcare experience spans a host of therapy areas, but includes a focus on diabetes, oncology and cardiovascular conditions.
Outside of the office, Rob has a love of sport, the outdoors and travel; from long country walks, holidays in the Greek islands to reminiscing about past footballing heroes.
Robyn joined HRW in September 2011 after completing her MSc in Evidence-based Social Intervention at Oxford University. She has a strong social research background, having worked extensively in HIV/AIDS and reproductive health in South Africa
before moving to the UK in 2009. She loves the variety that market research offers, and has experience across a wide range of therapy areas and methodologies, both locally and internationally.
Robyn enjoys rowing competitively for her boat club and playing squash in her spare time. She also loves to travel, and always looks forward to annual family road trips to Mozambique.
Ruth joined the HRW team in August 2013 after graduating from the University of Surrey with a degree in Nutrition. Healthcare market research was the ideal opportunity to combine her interests of nutrition, science and healthcare and she is excited to
learn more about market research whilst broadening her knowledge of different therapy areas. In her spare time, Ruth enjoys cooking, socialising with friends and family and playing the piano.
Sarah joined HRW in January 2011 after graduating from Oxford Brookes University with a BSc in Exercise, Nutrition and Health. She has always had a keen interest in the healthcare sector and after relocating to Oxford to pursue her market research career, she wishes to broaden and develop her knowledge further within all areas of HRW.
In her spare time Sarah can be found socialising with friends, enjoying good food and drink as well as traveling the world.
Sarah joined HRW in October 2010, having been in the industry since 2003. Sarah has spent her years building relationships with suppliers across the world through field management, and conducting research for an international research company.
Sarah now manages the Business Support team at HRW, ensuring the business is utilizing its resources; whilst supporting the team and the day-to-day running of the business.
When Sarah is not working, you can find her busying about being a mum to Jessica on a daily basis. In any spare time left, Sarah can be found running, cycling or taking part in mad events involving lots of exercise and raising money for charity. Sarah has a
passion for challenges and competition. When she is not training she is quite partial to cooking and enjoying a Sauvignon Blanc or Rioja depending on the day of the week!
Sian Joined HRW in July 2007. She graduated with a BSc in Psychology in 2006 and has always been interested in human behaviour and the theories that lie behind it. This led her to her career in market research. She has worked on a variety of projects and therapy areas and enjoys the challenges they provide.
Whenever she can, Sian likes to get out into the sea and go snorkelling (although is a bit intimidated by giant sting rays!). Sian also continues to try her luck at running half marathons (although her rule is to only enter when there is a medal at the end!).
Issaree, or known by her nickname as Start, joins HRW in 2011 after graduating her MSc in International Marketing from the University of Brighton. Prior to her MSc course in England, Start has developed her marketing research skill in Thailand for 4 years in FMCG, Health care, Personal skincare, and Technology for many global projects. Shortly after completing her course Start worked in a temp role for HRW's sister company (MMR) who was once her client. She is now looking forward to enjoying her new challenging role at HRW.

Tom joined HRW as a Trainee Field Controller in June 2013, having gained experience in the market research sector at college, and having previously worked in both production and retail.
Tom likes to spend his weekends with friends, and will usually be found watching Newcastle United games (often in the pub!), or occasionally enjoying a day out at the racecourse.
