Managing Director
Caroline has been Managing Director of HRW since its birth in 2001.
Following completion of a PhD in Physiology (researching Stress Susceptibility in Pigs no less), Caroline started her career in the pharmaceutical industry as a medical representative. Fourteen years, and a wide variety of sales and marketing roles later, Caroline expanded her horizons, joined HRW and hasn’t looked back.
When she isn’t shoe shopping, Caroline loves to spend time in the French Alps - either walking in the summer or skiing (or is it après skiing?) in the winter.
Deepshikha recently joined HRW and brings to the team over 5 years of experience, in both agency and client side roles. She has worked on a variety of projects including marketing segmentation and strategic brand positioning. Working on newer methodologies and meeting different research challenges is most exhilarating and satisfying for her. She has particular interest in understanding newer research methodologies, and learning more about use of ethnography and semiotics in marketing research. She holds a master in Marketing Communication, specialising in Marketing Research and Brand Management, in addition to masters in English Literature.
Reading and spending time with her family is what she likes best when she has spare time, and has ambition to join academia sometime in her life
Es joined HRW in 2004 and brings to the team over 6 years of experience. She designs and manages both qualitative and quantitative projects internationally and has worked across therapy areas and HRW's portfolio of methodologies.
Although she likes the variety of her role she has an interest in Diabetes.
Es keeps herself very busy in her spare time; socialising, gymming, learning Italian and seeing the world whenever she can.
Gillian joined HRW in 2008, having spent most of her working life in healthcare market research (agency and client side). Gillian has led a wide range of UK and international projects, both qual and quant, including extensive work in areas such as market understanding, profile optimisation, branding and positioning. Gillian has a particular interest in specialist therapy areas, especially oncology.
Most of Gillian’s spare time seems to be taken up with DIY and decorating, but when she finds a few moments spare she enjoys hosting ‘dinner parties’ (her lasagne is famous!)
Director
Jeanette is a Director of HRW having joined in 2005. She stumbled across healthcare market research some years ago (22!) and enjoyed it from the start. In addition to her Board roles, Jeanette regularly designs, directs and manages qualitative and quantitative international research across HRW’s portfolio of clients.
Jeanette can frequently be found shopping for handbags and “sparkly things” in Wallingford and when she’s at home, loves cooking with her husband, walking their two Staffordshire Bull Terriers (Louie and Charley – well known characters to the HRW team), reading and watching football.
Jenny joined HRW in 2006, after studying Sociology and Criminology at Cardiff University and taking a year out to travel the world. Jenny has worked on a variety of projects and therapy areas, both UK and international as well as trying to get involved in as many new challenges as possible particularly with methodology development.
In her spare time she is learning how to knit (and trying to convince everyone it's back in fashion!) as well as spending time planning where in the world she would like to visit next!
Jozef joined HRW in 2006, to build his career in Market research. He assists the project team from recruitment to quality management, as well as providing IT support and managing the supplier and agency information - Jozef likes challenges and being busy!
Outside of work, Jozef enjoys garden design and walking with his dog Bertie and admiring the countryside.
Kevin recently joined HRW after spending most of his life in academia.
His first role was as research assistant to a multi-disciplinary group investigating the design of multi-sensory digital tools for artists. His own work was funded by an EPSRC scholarship that he used to study visually-impaired interaction with everyday artefacts. The findings are currently being used to develop new guidelines for the design of accessible digital products.
Kevin would like to think he uses his spare-time to pursue worthwhile and improving activities, but he can, more often than not, just be found watching DVDs and television.
I joined HRW at the end of November 2009 looking forward to the challenges that it would offer me. I graduated from St Andrews with an MA and post-graduate M.Litt in Modern French History in 2006 and decided to get some work experience in John Lewis before making my career choice. This is my first step in my research career and I am eager to develop new skills and contribute to the HRW team.
In my spare time I enjoy cakes, comedy and films. I have also recently taken up karate and believe I will be a dangerous black belt pretty soon!
Lucy joined HRW in 2008 after graduating from Oxford Brookes University in 2007 attaining a degree in History and Politics. After graduating, Lucy worked for a field agency training as a field executive working a on a variety of qualitative and quantitative research projects. On deciding to re-locate to Oxford she wanted to further her knowledge and experience within market research and is enjoying the more analytical side of research.
In her spare time Lucy enjoys shopping and socialising with friends as well baking cupcakes, but enjoys eating them more!
Luke joined HRW in 2009, following his time at Word Of Mouth research. Luke has interests in social media, brand perception and diabetes. He also has experience in research via social networking and studied marketing as a part of a varied college course.
Outside of work, Luke enjoys listening to rock music, socializing with friends and going to concerts around the country.
Nicola started her career in market research in 1996 and has worked across a broad spectrum of different categories including OTC, pharmaceutical and FMCG. With a strong focus on analysis and interpretation she aims to find sound business solutions and opportunities for HRWs clients, often combining both qualitative and quantitative approaches.
Outside of work, Nicola unwinds with regular yoga classes – sometimes as a student and often as the teacher.
Pete worked for HRW in 2006 as a freelancer and enjoyed the experience so much, he joined permanently in January 2007. More than 10 years after entering the world of market research, with experience across pharmaceutical, retail, B2B and FMCG, Pete continues to enjoy the variety and challenges of quant. and qual. research.
At weekends, Pete loves being with his family, and dreams of returning to the Lake District. He also sneaks out on the bike into the Chilterns when possible, even if it’s not quite as exhilarating as Blencathra or Crinkle Crags.
Joining in July 2009, Sam is our newest recruit at HRW. After graduating with a BSc in Psychology from Cardiff University in 2007, Sam spent the next year working for a sailing company in New Zealand and kite surfing in Brazil. On her return to the UK Sam started her career in research by working as a Research and Information Officer for Herefordshire Council. Now part of the HRW team, Sam is eager to further develop her research skills as much and as broadly as possible!
Outside of work Sam is a sport nut, enjoying running, swimming, tennis, rock climbing - although her particular obsession is kite surfing!
Sian Joined HRW in July 2007. She graduated with a BSc in Psychology in 2006 and has always been interested in human behaviour and the theories that lie behind it. This led her to a career in market research. She has worked on a variety of projects and therapy areas and enjoys the challenges they provide.
Sian has taken up running and although she hasn’t found it easy, loves the sense of achievement she gets from it (well, most of the time!). Sian also enjoys spending time with her friends, shopping and snorkelling.
