We are thrilled to announce that HRW has won the inaugural European Pharmaceutical Market Research Association (EphMRA) award for ‘Excellence in Fieldwork’. This was the first year the awards have been conducted, and they were judged by a steering panel of industry judges.

The ‘Excellence in Fieldwork’ category was described by the association as:

“An award that will focus on an international case study from a company involved in healthcare fieldwork and data collection and will demonstrate best practice, including:

  • Trying new approaches
  • An approach that improved the quality of the data obtained
  • Respondents were better and more effectively engaged”

The award was given to the HRW team, their client from Gilead, and local fieldwork partners (ConsuMed France, Searchlight Pharma Partner Germany, Intercampus Portugal, and Exafield Spain) for a campaign development project case study titled ‘Campaigns that Move People’. The elements that made this project award winning included dynamic stimulus format, behavioural analyses, and creative approaches to recruiting incredibly rare and difficult to find patient groups.

The HRW team who conducted the winning project, Katy Irving (Head of Innovation), Cathy Haw (Associate Director) and Hannah Smith (Senior Field Controller) were delighted to receive the award this month and will present a case study of the project during this year’s EphMRA conference. Of winning the award, Cathy says:

“It was really exciting to win this award, especially since our keys to success on this project are so typical of HRW; we do this kind of stuff on lots of projects, so it becomes so common internally you forget what a big difference it can make to clients who haven’t worked with agencies like us before. We’re really lucky to have such a creative environment and strong partnerships with amazing field agencies, and how spoilt we are to have in-house expertise in behavioural sciences.”
