How much does your current self help your future self? Do you often take steps to safeguard your financial future or develop beneficial habits? The degree to which we do it varies from person to person, but behavioural science can help shed a light on certain biases that we tend to be susceptible to and can help dismantle the work that our current selves put in for our future selves. This behaviour can even be hinted at by the language we use, and is extremely important to be mindful of when carrying our market research and asking the current selves of respondent’s questions about what the future holds. Join three Behavioural Science Analysts from the HRW Shift team, Alexandra Petrache, David Manshreck, and Jeremy Koloski as well as former HRW Shift employee Emma Neville, as they take us on a journey to discover why we don’t always act in the best interest of our future selves, and what steps we can take to change that.
