Abigail Graham
Abigail started her career in market research when she joined HRW in 2018 and is based in the London office. Abigail enjoys the challenges of organizing multi-market research and loves to work across a wide variety of methodologies (qual and quant) as well as therapy areas. She has been recognized in the industry and was commended for her project management skills in the 2020 BHBIA Best Newcomer award. Abigail has a particular interest in Neuroscience and is a member of HRW Synapse: providing consultancy to the wider company across a range of conditions. Outside of work, Abigail loves to spend time with her family, take long walks with her dog or snuggle up on the sofa with her kitten.
Abigail Potter
Abi has worked for HRW since 2017, following her decision to change her career after initially joining the working world in the childcare space. She was attracted to her role as Field Controller, as it allows her to apply and hone her excellent organisation and project management skills. Abi takes a shrewd approach to negotiation and liaison with our local partners, to ensure we maintain high standards on research delivery: in a cost effective and efficient way, passing on direct benefits to our clients. In her time outside work, she loves eating out, travelling and long walks with the dog.
Ajweria Hussain
Ajweria joined HRW with an unwavering passion for making a difference in the healthcare industry. With her extensive experience across various therapeutic areas, Ajweria is particularly passionate about advancing innovative healthcare solutions. Her fulfillment stems from conducting research, uncovering insights through data analysis, and tackling challenges head-on. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and playing sports like badminton and basketball.
Alex Bonello
Alex has made a career of putting her curious nature to work for her clients. She loves the fact that she's always learning through her work whether it's innovating qualitative and quantitative methods, exploring cultural context or brushing up on the latest treatment advancements. Alex has accumulated a wealth of experience across therapeutic areas including oncology, CNS/neuroscience, metabolic disorders, chronic pain and vaccines, but has found that representing patient and HCP stories in an authentic and actionable way is what fuels her passion for translating research findings into compelling insights. In her spare time, Alex enjoys keeps her husband on his toes as they live in continual renewal of their “fixer upper” home that is increasingly more like a zoo with two young daughters, two dogs and the cast of Bambi in the backyard
Alice Kelly
Alice joined HRW in 2021, having obtained a degree in psychology from The University of Edinburgh. Throughout her degree, she found herself more drawn to healthcare-related topics, which alongside her experiences in conducting research projects and analyses, sparked her desire to pursue a career in healthcare market research. Outside of work, Alice loves to go running and explore the city, as well as experimenting with cooking new recipes, and trying out new local restaurants too.
Alicia Crawley
Alicia’s market research career started back in 2018 after realizing her skills of analysis, critical thinking and communications developed during her history degree were beneficial within the market research field. Moving into healthcare research was driven by her desire to have a lasting, meaningful impact on a vital and ever-changing industry. Alicia's experience now spans a wide range of both quant and qual methodologies, although her passion is qualitative research, particularly within patient journeys. When not at work, Alicia can be found practicing hot yoga or obsessing over her two dogs.
Alyse Appassamy-Brown
Alyse graduated in 2023 with a BSc degree in Psychology. She is intrigued by human behaviour and decision-making processes, which she was able to explore thoroughly during her degree. Her interest in healthcare was sparked while researching the role and efficacy of statistics in health communication during her final year. Alyse is excited to start her market research career and explore a wider range of healthcare topics. In her free time, she likes going to concerts, crocheting and trying new restaurants.
Amy Russell
Amy found her way into market research after completing a degree in English and International Relations. Since joining the industry in 2011, Amy’s attention for detail and love of order and processes meant she was well-suited to leading the project management on domestic and global studies, focusing initially on customer and business satisfaction, and consumer studies spanning from rail passengers to beauty product tests. Amy moved into the healthcare sector, bringing her extensive project and field management experience with her. Outside of work Amy likes to get outside with her two children, especially to the seaside; keep her allotment going; run; and have a well earned glass of wine on a Friday night whilst having a kitchen disco with her family.
Anna Pavone
Anna earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Anthropology from Monmouth University. Driven by an innate curiosity, she sought a career that would continuously challenge her intellectual curiosity and foster ongoing learning. Her passion for understanding the complexities of the human mind and body led her to a role in healthcare market research, where she deepened her insights into the disparities within the healthcare sector and developed an interest in women’s health issues. Outside of her professional pursuits, Anna enjoys staying active at the gym, spending time with her beloved dog, Harlee, and immersing herself in a good book.
Annabelle Park
Annabelle graduated from King's College London in 2023 with a BSc degree in Psychology. During her time at KCL, she developed a strong expertise in quantitative and qualitative research and completed a placement year working on a clinical trial for a new therapeutic intervention for anxiety. She's particularly interested in digital therapy and new health tech developments, with a focus on how they can be used by the general population. In her free time, she enjoys being creative by participating in dance classes, creating new art projects, and attending concerts.
Asha Varma
Asha joined the HRW Manhattan office after obtaining a BA in Environmental Studies from the University of Chicago. During her time at university, Asha worked as a research assistant for multiple public health research projects, which sparked her interest in healthcare and research, and lead her to join the HRW team. Outside of work, Asha loves to explore the outdoors and enjoys running, hiking, and skiing. She also enjoys traveling and exploring new restaurants in NYC.
Blaine Siegel
Blaine joined the HRW Manhattan office after completing her BA in biological sciences from the University of Delaware. While earning her degree, Blaine developed a passion for research while working as an undergraduate research assistant studying alternative therapies for Autism Spectrum Disorder. This passion for healthcare and a desire to aid in the research process led Blaine to the field team at HRW. Outside of work Blaine enjoys spending time surfing at the beach, baking, and traveling.
Caitlin Robertson
Caitlin completed a Higher Education Diploma studying Fashion & Textiles, before joining HRW in 2010. Having worked her way up the operational ranks, she now leads our field department. Caitlin has built up a solid network of fieldwork partners across the globe, building strong relationships and working with them closely to ensure we are receiving the best quality service on all projects. Caitlin focuses on supporting our more complex studies, where she applies her extensive experience in recruiting niche respondent types and working within challenging methodologies. Caitlin is a mother of two, so enjoys lots of family time along with good food, days out, and the occasional (well-deserved) break with a G&T or cocktail.
Cathy Harwood
Cathy has an academic background in Biomedical Science, with a specialism in Pharmacology. Her home, however, has been found in market research, having worked in the field since 2011. Her role at HRW sees her working across a wide range of therapy areas- notably oncology, psychiatry, and infectious diseases; tackling a varied spread of methodologies, tools, and techniques. What unites her various responsibilities is an eagerness to innovate from a methodological and analytical perspective, and her desire to deliver clean, exciting outputs that help her clients make a real difference and engage internally. When not busy researching in our London office or working hard on our external communication through her leadership of our Marketing Team, Cathy enjoys singing with her (extremely cool) choir, travelling, and attempting to cook ambitious, occasionally experimental, recipes (with variable results).
Channelle Findlay
Channelle joined HRW in 2023 after graduating in Psychology and carrying out her MSc degree in Global Public Health at Queen Mary University of London. With almost six years of market research experience, Channelle enjoys looking at health from a multi-disciplinary perspective, which helps her continue to strengthen her critical analysis skills. Outside of work, she loves playing the bass guitar, shopping at local thrift stores and trying out new restaurants.
Christine Dalzell
After receiving her Ph.D. in Social Psychology, Christine found market research an ideal outlet for her desire to have an impact on how companies do business. Even after all these years, she continues to enjoy the unique and varied needs from both a research and insights perspective. Although spending most of her career primarily focused on quantitative research, Christine appreciates the deeper, “behind the scenes” perspective that qualitative research brings and particularly enjoys marrying the two. Christine’s experience covers over the counter and pharmaceutical products to medical devices and diagnostics across an array of therapeutic categories ranging from cardiovascular health to pain management. When not at work, Christine enjoys creating (and eating!) wonderful meals with family and friends as well as applying her creative talents to volunteering in her local community theatre and pottery. Christine is a member of the HRW Board and our Marketing Team.
Dana Al-Juburi
Dana recently graduated from an interdisciplinary degree in Human Sciences at UCL, exploring what it means to be human through anthropological and scientific lenses. Completing her studies in a COVID-19 climate sparked interest in the topic of vaccine hesitancy. As a result, she chose to base her final dissertation on what drives vaccine hesitancy and how science communication can promote vaccine uptake. To answer her research question, Dana delved into literature from medical anthropology and Science and Technology Studies (STS), and conducted an in-depth qualitative analysis of online vaccine discourse. The experience pushed her towards pursuing career in healthcare market research. Outside of work, Dana enjoys writing, seeing, and performing theatre. When she’s not on her laptop, you’ll find her dining at local restaurants with friends.
Darren Vircavs
Darren joined Healthcare Research Worldwide in August 2016, after completing a BA degree in Media Culture and Production at Southampton University. With a particularly keen interest in digital media and innovation, Darren is a keen ambassador for trying out new technologies and applications, especially when those are combined with a particularly hard-to-reach respondents or complex methodologies. Being part of the Field Team, Darren thrives on building productive relationships with our suppliers and delivering high quality fieldwork on logistically challenging projects. Outside of work, Darren enjoys kayaking and camping at music festivals. More recently he has expressed a love for cooking.
Dawn Farber
Dawn has many years of market research experience and a wealth of knowledge across several therapeutic areas, including most recently, oncology and vaccines. She especially enjoys the challenge of global research along with quantitative trackers and has a passion for data. Outside of work Dawn enjoys working out, reading and knitting and loves to spend time with her husband and nieces and nephews at Disney World
Edith Coronas
Edith joined HRW as a Research Executive in the summer of 2022 after graduating with a MSc degree in Bioethics and Society, and focused her thesis on ways in which the structures of national BioBanks affect the quality of the data they collect and store. Following her degree, she is excited to continue learning about a range of therapeutic areas, and how to optimize the impact of various treatments and innovations. Outside of work, Edith's favourite pass-time is to spend time in nature taking long walks - soaking in the health benefits of spending quality time outside!
Ellie Carter
Ellie graduated from University College London in 2023 with a BSc degree in Science and Technology Studies. Throughout her degree, Ellie studied healthcare from a broad perspective including the sociology, ethics and philosophy of medicine. Ellie is particularly interested in Women's Health research. In the final year of her degree, Ellie produced an award-winning dissertation on how social media can be utilized to improve research in this area. In her free time, Ellie enjoys yoga and is currently undertaking her teacher training qualification.
Elinor Corcoran
After graduating with a degree in Neuroscience, Elinor worked in the NHS on the neurodevelopmental pathway where she developed a keen interest in how people view at their own health. She is very excited to put her skills to work and learn new aspects of healthcare at HRW as the trainee research executive. In her spare time Elinor enjoys taking part in fitness competitions alongside many volunteering ventures.
Elyse Klarer
Elyse joined the HRW Manhattan office in 2023 with an educational background in life sciences and public health. She is passionate about improving the efficacy of the healthcare industry through ethical and value-based research methodologies. Elyse is excited to continue learning about different therapeutic areas as healthcare research thrives and becomes increasingly dynamic. Outside of work, Elyse loves to explore New York City and spend time with her family and friends.
Emily Lock-Lee
Emily's passion lies at the intersection of health and culture. She is an anthropologist by training and brings her anthropological lens to analysis, allowing her to draw deep meaning from respondent data and translate it into actionable and culturally appropriate solutions for her clients. One of her favourite things about working in the health space is that she is always learning something new to keep her on her toes and immersed in her work.
Emily Rebovich
Emily joined HRW in 2024 and has worked in the global market research industry for almost five years since graduating with a degree in Sociology. During this time, she has supported projects applying mixed research methods and providing insights across a range of healthcare topic areas. Overtime Emily has developed a deep interest in behavioural science and applying her skills of research and analysis. Outside of work Emily enjoys spending time with her family and her pug, going antique shopping, enjoying the sun, eating and cooking good food, and exploring new places.
Esme Barrow-Williams
Es joined HRW in 2005, and designs and manages domestic and international projects across therapy areas- as well as managing our internal best practice, innovating our ways of working, and generally making sure we're all being consistently excellent throughout our business! She loves the variety of her role; the range of clients, methodologies and projects, and is proud to have won the Best Customer Insight award at the BHBIA BOBIs in 2010 and in 2014. She is really focused on understanding her clients’ businesses to provide the most strategic recommendations and ensuring research is brought to life. Her interests include running workshops and furthering her understanding of device usability research approaches. When she is not at work, Es enjoys spending time with her young family, running and reading.
Fatima Dos Santos
With a degree in Tourism Administration and a master’s degree in Corporate Communications and Protocol, Fatima landed in Market Research in 2013 when she moved to London. Her excellent project management skills, open minded and positive attitude has led her way within field and operations. She loves the challenges and is always ready for more. She joined HRW in July 2020 bringing her expertise and network in patient recruitment. Outside of work, she loves spending time dancing with her little girl, long walks in the park admiring the nature and feeding birds and squirrels, cooking and wine tasting!
Faye Holmes
Faye started her market research career with HRW in 2014, moving from a frontline healthcare delivery role where she was a patient co-ordinator in a gastroenterology department at UCLH. Faye is a tenacious and famously "no-nonsense" researcher, who enjoys the organisational challenge of large multi-market studies, and loves to work across a variety of therapy areas (from oncology to consumer health). She has been recognised across the industry, named 'runner up' in the Best Newcomer at the 'best of business intelligence' awards and Future Leader at the European pharmaceutical market research association 'Excellence in MR' awards. She has a particular interest in concept and message testing, unpicking how advertising creates certain perceptions about a brand. When not at work, you will find Faye on the hockey pitch or researching her next travel adventure!
Gerard Geneen
Gerard has worked in the global pharmaceutical and medical device sector since 2001; in internal audit, as compliance officer, and in data protection. He has subject matter expertise in finance, selling and marketing, supply, clinical trials, data protection, due diligence and investigations. He is qualified with the International Association of Privacy Professionals, and is a UK Chartered Accountant.The aim of Compliance at HRW is to help the business run more smoothly and to help our clients achieve their goals. Society has high expectations of the healthcare industry in terms of their ethics: our approach is to protect our respondents and our clients whilst facilitating their important work developing products for patients. Outside the world of compliance, Gerard likes spending time with his family and both playing and enjoying music.
Glenda Sinclair
With over 20 years’ experience in HR and learning development roles across various industries, such as retail, field marketing and manufacturing, Glenda is also an associate member of the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) and has a strong passion for supporting others in achieving their career development goals, making her the perfect fit for the role of Learning and Development Advisor at HRW. In her spare time, she enjoys activities involving art and textiles, along with visiting art galleries and spending time with her family.
Hannah Clark
Hannah graduated with a BSc degree in Human Physiology from the University of Leeds in 2023. Having always had a keen interest in science and psychology, she tailored her studies accordingly and discovered her love for research. She developed strong analytical skills, particularly during her dissertation which investigated the physiological effects of a four-week inspiratory muscle training programme. Hannah is eager to continue exploring various therapy areas, and to see her research have meaningful practical applications that benefit patients. Beyond the office, Hannah is often found experimenting with new recipes, exploring new places, or even challenging herself with thrilling activities such as bungee jumping.
Hannah Tomkins
Hannah joined HRW's Field Team in 2014 after graduating from OMBS (Oxford Media and Business School) with an Executive PA Diploma. Hannah manages a huge variety of projects in a wide range of therapy areas and markets, and really thrives from having great relationships with our local fieldwork partners across the world. The HRW research team also benefit from her fierce efficiency and drive to complete even the most complex recruits to a high standard. Outside of work, good food, watching football and travelling are Hannah’s favourite things to do.
Holly Butlin-Moran
After obtaining a degree in Business and Marketing, Holly has worked in Marketing for 4 years and joined HRW in July 2022. Since leaving university, Holly found an interest in how the pharmaceutical industry market themselves to its target audience, which led her to aspire for a career in marketing within healthcare market research. Outside of work, Holly enjoys travelling and spending time with her family and friends.
Ian Turner
After completing his degree in biological sciences, Ian began his market research career in consumer market research before discovering an interest in healthcare. Ian is a quantitative specialist with experience in applying a variety of methodologies across a broad range of therapy areas. In his free time, Ian enjoys exploring London, running and caring for his pet pug.
Imogen Chandler
Imogen graduated with a degree in Biomedical Sciences in 2021 with a main focus on immunology, oncology, and anatomy. She has since worked in a laboratory but decided that healthcare-based market research was more suited to her interests which is what led her to HRW. In her free time, Imogen enjoys attending dance classes and spending time with friends and family!
Jeanette Kaye
Jeanette's business background gave her the springboard for a career in market research. After many years focusing on pharma MR, her ideal opportunity arose with HRW in 2005, where she could get involved in the wider healthcare market, enjoy forming strong strategic partnerships with her clients and stoking her passion for developing people. Jeanette's driving force is ensuring HRW's work represents true behaviours and attitudes of stakeholders in the healthcare market, and she loves finding the "golden nuggets" of insights that make our research shine. Dermatology is Jeanette's therapy area of interest, and outside of work, she loves spending time with family, friends, and her animals (3 dogs and 2 cats); supporting her beloved Liverpool football club; cooking; and meditating. Jeanette is a member of the HRW Board.
Jen Vos
Jen joined HRW’s Manhattan office in the summer of 2019. She previously received a master’s degree in International Relations and Economics, and worked in International Education, where she managed and conducted all qualitative research on the experience of international students in the US. It was this research experience, combined with using the findings to determine the best next steps to improve the students’ experiences, that helped Jen find market research. She has forever been passionate about understanding the experiences of others, which fuelled her bachelor’s studies in French, Mandarin Chinese, and Linguistics. She has lived in Paris, Beijing, and Shanghai, and loves to travel; try new foods; run; play tennis; and spend time in Central Park.
Jeremy Koloski
Jeremy’s long and winding road to the HRW Shift team began with a BA in computer science at Brandeis University. After a year as a software developer, he decided to take the next natural step by moving across the pond and pursuing an MSc in behavioral economics at City University of London. There, his dissertation investigated the leisure-time happiness puzzle—the finding that people spend the bulk of their free time engaging in activities that undermine their happiness. While his background in computer science and his experience as a software developer help him approach problems by building frameworks and algorithms, his background in behavioral economics and his experience as a human help him understand human behavior by mapping the human mind. In his free time, Jeremy enjoys writing music, reading books, finding and photographing wildlife, exploring nature, and learning new calisthenics moves.
Jessica Gigante
Jessica joined HRW in September 2022 after obtaining a masters in Cognitive and Clinical Neuroscience from Brunel University. During her masters, she worked as a Research Assistant at the Visual Perception and Attention Laboratory, where her work was featured in the Guardian newspaper. Outside of work, Jessica loves adventure, whether it is hiking to the top of mountains or scuba diving deep in the sea. She also has a strong passion in painting, photography, and videography.
Jess Woodhead
Jess joined HRW in 2012 after completing her degree in Biomedical Sciences with a specialism in Reproductive Biology. Entering the world of healthcare market research has allowed her to combine her interest in understanding people and what they do; and her desire for learning new things everyday. She loves to work in a variety of therapy areas and is particularly interested in dermatology, women's health, vaccines and device testing. She really enjoys seeking innovative methodologies and tools to explore the "whys" behind the "what", and unearthing strategic direction to answer her client's business objectives. Outside of work Jess spends her time day dreaming and planning her next travel adventure, singing in a local choir, and researching new restaurants to try and musicals to see in London.
Joe Insuli
Joe joined HRW in 2021 with a strong background in pharmaceutical market research having worked in the industry for almost 5 years. Having graduated with a degree in psychology at university, he has always been interested in human behaviour and research methods, which lead him to seek a career in market research. Though in his own words he may have stumbled into the healthcare arena, Joe has never looked back and has enjoyed becoming more and more familiar with various different therapy areas. Outside of work, Joe will likely be found eating out at restaurants (mainly sampling varieties of fried chicken), going to music gigs or playing/watching football.
John Friberg
John joined HRW in 2016 and is currently based in NYC after spending time in both UK HRW offices. His career in healthcare research began with an academic post at Rutgers’ Centre for State Health Policy researching the implications of city planning on children's health and dynamics of critical care facility use by New Jersey's Hispanic and Latino population. Upon graduating with a degree in Economics from Oberlin College in 2010, John moved into the healthcare market research world where he has been active since. He strongly believes that any objective can be met with an appropriate and well-crafted research design- an ethos he has honed through his work with the HRW Innovation Team. John also loves to make and consume art and values the network of relationships that this can afford with people from all walks of life.
Jonas Pantaleon
Jonas graduated from the University of Lincoln with a Masters of Pharmacy and became a registered Pharmacist in 2024. She is passionate about healthcare and improving health outcomes, with a keen interest in extending her impact beyond direct patient care. Outside of work, Jonas enjoys traveling to new countries, learning about different cultures, and practicing reformer Pilates.’
Julia Martin
Julia began her career in market research after obtaining her degree in Linguistics and Psychology in 2018, and joined HRW in Spring 2023. Julia has a passion for the healthcare space and enjoys studying the behaviours of HCPs, patients and other stakeholders through both qualitative and quantitative methodologies. Outside of work, Julia and enjoys fitness and cooking.
Julia Tarter
Julia joined the HRW team in 2023 after having worked in the pharmaceutical market research industry for 2 years. Through her degree in psychology and her time spent working as a research assistant, she developed a deep interest in behavioural science and research which ultimately led her to HRW. During her time working in the healthcare space she has developed a true passion for the industry and enjoys the opportunity to build her knowledge of new therapy areas and treatments. When she's not nose-deep in analysis, you can find her exploring various London cafes with friends or soaking up the rare English sun that reminds her of her Californian home.
Kate Thornton
Kate joined HRW after working in the Behavioural Practice at a social research and advisory business in the UK. Here she managed and supported projects applying mixed methods research and behavioral insights to understand and influence behaviour and decision making across a range of public policy areas. Prior to this she pursued her interest in human behaviour through an MSc in Behaviour Change at University College London, and a BSc in Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Manchester. Outside of work Kate enjoys hiking, surfing (badly), eating good food, and exploring new places.
Katie Walsham
Katie joined HRW as a Research Executive after graduating with a degree in English Studies. Her degree involved studying linguistics and research into the history of the English language. She has a passion for understanding new and complex concepts and looks forward to implementing her skills of research and analysis in her training. Outside of work, Katie enjoys exercising, taking her dogs for long walks, and is passionate about skin care and finding new products to implement into her routine.
Katy Irving
As a founding member of our in-house team of behavioural change experts, HRW Shift, Katy is passionate about pulling validated frameworks from different disciplines to deliver reliable, scientifically-sound, strategic insight for our clients. From her specialism in applied Behavioural Economics to digital technology, she pursues the best ways to really ‘access reality’ through collaboration, reading, and attending and presenting at conferences; winning several Best of Business Intelligence (BOBI), EphMRA, and Intellus Worldwide awards in the process. When not in our lovely London office or supporting our Marketing and Innovation Teams, she enjoys distance running (six marathons and counting), learning Spanish, and travelling to wine regions with her oenophile husband.
Kelsei Waite
Kelsei joined the HRW Wallingford office in June 2022. Her background in finance and accounting means she is an organisational whiz, and has a passion for teamwork which she is excited to show off as a key member of HRW's Central Admin Team. Outside of work she is a freestyle dance teacher, a huge Arsenal fan, and enjoys walking her Pomeranian Milo.

Kiran Pawar
Kiran joined HRW in 2017 after completing her Undergraduate Degree in Psychology followed by a Masters Degree in Health Psychology. She was keen to apply her research skills she gained from her degrees in her career, and found market research to be an ideal fit. Having studied Health Psychology, Kiran developed a strong interest in the behavioural elements of research and therefore a key member of the HRW Shift team, where she takes this interest further. When not hard at work in the market research world, Kiran loves exploring London, and checking out the local Time Out recommendations (particularly the pop ups!).
Kirsty Page
Kirsty joined HRW in 2009 after completing a Masters and Post-Graduate Degree in Modern History from St Andrews University. Market research proved to be the ideal role for Kirsty, allowing her to follow her expertise in digging deep into data and distilling information into well balanced stories, full of rich insights that provide clear strategic direction. Kirsty’s particular passion lies in patient research, and finds it particularly rewarding to work closely with clients who are motivated and focused on the concept of making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients. She is also immersed in the oncology sphere through her role within HRW's oncology team, OR:BIT. In her spare time, Kirsty enjoys going to see live comedy and theatre.

Laura joined HRW in early 2019 as Global HR Manager and is excited to be part of HRW’s collaborative and vibrant culture. With a passion for musical theatre and cake decorating, Laura enjoys spending her precious free time with her family engaging in these hobbies.
Liz George
With degrees in Psychology & Advertising, and a communications career that encompassed space exploration to military support programs, Liz found a perfect home in market research, combining her interest in both understanding and influencing people. Liz brings a wealth of experience within a number of therapy areas to HRW, with a strong focus on oncology and women’s health. A seasoned moderator with HCPs and patients, Liz loves the challenge of eliciting underlying beliefs that influence perceptions and drive behaviour, then transforming those insights into a compelling story that resonate with clients to drive strategy. Outside of work, Liz is often moving across the country with her military family, and when she needs a break from reality, she can be found singing along to Broadway tunes or planning her next adventure to a Disney park.
Lorna Kirman
Lorna has always been curious, making her well suited to a career in market research. She has been getting to the crux of the issue for clients for over 15 years, enjoying digging deep not only with doctors or patients to understand the answers, but also turning those skills to determining what the key questions are at the outset. With a strong focus on integrated insights, Lorna thrives on developing long-term strategic partnerships with her clients. Inside and outside of work, Lorna is a passionate advocate for a more sustainable world, committed to her own Zero Waste journey, and passionate about gardening. Lorna loves walking and cycling in the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds where she lives with her family, tortoise, guinea pigs and an abundance of house plants!
Lucy Hannon
Lucy obtained a degree in Biological Sciences from the Royal Veterinary College, where she focussed on pharmacology and early drug development. Additionally interested in human behaviour and strategic thinking, Lucy pursued a career in healthcare market research and has worked across a variety of therapy areas (including rare diseases, oncology, immunology and more), methodologies, and samples. Outside of work, Lucy is a competitive bodybuilder and can be found either in the gym, trying new restaurants or walking her dog.
Lucy Saunders (nee Wates)
Lucy has an academic background in Biology and clinical Nutrition. She has always been curious and fascinated by different health conditions, so healthcare market research is an excellent opportunity to learn about different therapy areas, whilst applying her healthcare knowledge. With over 6 years’ experience in the industry, she is known for her meticulousness and high attention to detail. Lucy is passionate about optimal client service and this forms a central part of her role. Outside of work, Lucy enjoys learning new things (such as cooking or learning new languages), and is a devoted patient advocate for migraine sufferers.
Madeleine Knowles
Maddie joined HRW in 2021, having gained extensive experience in the pharmaceutical market research industry for 6 years. After completing her Masters degree in Marketing at the University of Exeter, she wanted to pursue a career which involved research and strategic thinking and landed in the healthcare industry. Since then, she particularly enjoys working on global projects and a variety of therapy areas (ranging from oncology, MS, ophthalmology, aesthetics - to name a few). Outside of work, Maddie can be found playing / watching tennis, skiing, trying out new restaurants or travelling back home to Germany.
Maria Yagudina
With a degree in Foreign Languages and Intercultural Communications, Maria has always found pleasure in forging relationships and communicating effectively across different cultures. With extensive experience within the pharmaceutical, healthcare and market research sectors, Maria is excited to bring her excellent organizational, analytical, and communicative skills to HRW. Outside of work Maria is passionate about animal welfare, helping injured wildlife and supporting community pets, while (naturally!) “raising” 2 cats with her wonderful husband. Maria is also an enthusiastic member of a local choir.
Marianne Ibrahim
Marianne holds a bachelor degree in pharmacy and a post graduate diploma in microbiology and immunology from Cairo University. Following graduation, she worked as a production pharmacist, overseeing solid dosage forms manufacturing processes. In 2012, she transitioned to the pharmaceutical market research industry delivering projects in Egypt - her home country- and throughout North Africa for a global firm. She then moved to the UK in 2014 and found her true passion conducting research within the ever evolving oncology landscape. Oncology fascinates her, satisfies her thirst for knowledge, and continues to fill her with hope as better outcomes are delivered to patients everyday. Upon joining HRW in March 2022, Marianne immediately became a member of the OR:BIT team, which is responsible for leading global oncology research projects across a wide spectrum of both solid and hematologic malignancies. Outside of work, Marianne enjoys weight lifting, taking extended walks in nature while listening to her favorite audiobooks, singing and practicing on her cello. She is also very passionate about holistic health & wellness and nutrition.
Mathew Roberts
Mat has now been part of the MMR group since 2011, joining HRW in 2016. Having held a variety of roles within the company including Research Executive and Procurement Executive, Mat now finds himself in the Costing and Finance Department at HRW taking responsibility for all things relating to accurate costings, project financials, client documentation and generally ensuring our company runs as fairly and efficiently as possible. Outside of work, Mat enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter: and follows Reading football club up and down the country (poor Mat).
Melissa Reinbold
Melissa joined HRW in 2023, bringing nearly 6 years’ experience leading primary market research studies in the healthcare space. With her natural curiosity and passion for bringing others’ voices to life, Melissa has tackled a wide range of research objectives throughout her career - providing client teams with highly personalized and actionable insights along the way. Therapeutic areas of particular interest to Melissa include rare disease, vaccines, and autoimmune conditions. Outside the office, you can find Melissa in the audience of Broadway’s latest hit, exploring the Disney Parks, marveling at the dogs in Central Park, or on the Peloton Leaderboard.
Meric Mehmet
Meric graduated with a degree in Graphic Design and worked in marketing for 4 years before joining the HRW team in 2021. He started his career working for an events provider, however made the decision to use his skills and experience in campaign management, inbound strategy, content creation and copywriting to work in market research and make a real difference. Outside of work, Meric loves venturing out to quirky restaurants in London, using his love of creativity to test out new concepts on photoshop and spending time with friends and family.
Mollie Collett
Mollie embarked on a career in market research as a result of an insatiable curiosity to understand what makes people tick. With a range of experience within different therapy areas and methodologies, Mollie is a strategic thinker who enjoys turning research findings into actionable business recommendations for her clients. She has delivered quantitative and qualitative market research in a variety of commercial environments, including strategic brand planning and client side pharma market research. As a member of the BOBI Committee, Mollie has twice delivered papers at the BHBIA Annual Conference. When not working, you can find Mollie enjoying the outdoors, or dabbling in arts and crafts.
Nicola Vyas
Nicola is a quantitative expert who specialises in advanced analytics at HRW; she loves to get beneath the surface of data to deliver real insight to our clients and is deeply immersed in the development of new methodologies that better explain and measure human behaviour. Further areas of specialism include device testing, patient research and patient adherence. In particular, Nicola believes strongly in the value of integrated qualitative and quantitative approaches. Outside of work Nicola likes to relax in a yoga class and is a qualified yoga teacher.
Nicole Shalette
Nicole comes to HRW with broad market research experience, but chose to concentrate in the healthcare space: covering a range of methodologies and therapeutic areas among physicians, patients and other key stakeholders. She enjoys employing a holistic approach to answering business questions that utilizes the synergies between qualitative and quantitative research where one can both quantify results but also put a “face” to the research. Nikul Patel
Nikul graduated from Kingston University after achieving a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacology. After taking up a role in IT post-graduation, Nikul decided he was up for a new challenge and developed an interest in market research. Outside of work, he loves fixing and tinkering with cars, watching Formula 1, and going to car shows as well as checking out the newest food spots with family and friends.
Nina Zeiske
Nina graduated in 2019 from UCL with a MSc in Health Psychology. Following her studies, she started her career as an analyst at a market research agency, with a focus on consumer insights in quantitative research. However, with an interest in the health sector, Nina has joined HRW in 2021 to bring her skills in research to the healthcare industry and is excited to broaden her experience across qualitative research too. Outside of work hours, Nina enjoys going for runs along the river, a good puzzle, and, exploring food markets in London.
Oliver Day
Oliver joined HRW in October 2022 after obtaining a degree in Behaviour Change at UCL, which covered topics such as biases, heuristics, the COM-B model, and Behaviour Change Techniques. Oliver's diverse career has taken him from Nottingham to Zambia, working in community behaviour change, fundraising, service management, customer voice and applied behavioural science. He brings an understanding of how to influence group and individual change in health environments through studying human geography and anthropology. Outside of work, Oliver enjoys travelling, hosting dinners with friends, and competing with TV crime-drama detectives to figure out 'whodunnit' first.
Paul Tinworth
Paul has been part of the HRW family since 2011, with a background in B2B research and a Bachelor's Degree in History. His strengths are particularly apparent in quantitative research, where he can often be found applying advanced tools and techniques to better interrogate data: but his skills and expertise are broad ranging, with his calm and collected management style bringing a breath of fresh air to all the projects he leads. Paul is a dad to three lovely boys; is a devout Twin Peaks fan; and in his spare time, follows Reading football club.
Peter Tompkins
Rachel Schooler
Rachel joined HRW as a Research Manager in 2024, bringing over five years of healthcare market research experience. With an academic background in sociology and psychology, she seeks creative and innovative methodologies to understand how patients and healthcare providers think, feel, and behave as they navigate the complexities of the healthcare system. She is particularly interested in the dynamics of patient-healthcare provider communication in rare diseases. Outside of work, Rachel enjoys hiking in the Adirondacks, making pottery, and birdwatching.
Rajiv Sakooria
Rajiv has over 10 years’ experience dedicated to pharmaceutical market research. He has worked across a wide range of therapy areas using different quantitative methodologies and has successfully led and managed multinational studies spanning 5 continents and in over 40 different countries. Rajiv is recognised for having strong project management, research, and analytical skills, and having a creative flair, which he uses to deliver high quality and insightful research with maximum impact. Driven by innovation, he is committed to developing smarter ways of working, implementing best practices and mentoring other team members to improve overall project efficiency without sacrificing on quality. In his free time, Rajiv enjoys playing and/or watching sports, videogaming and spending time with his family and friends.
Rebecca Cooper
Rebecca joined the team in Oxfordshire in November 2019. Prior to joining HRW she spent several years in office management spanning a variety of industries from Management Consultants to Biotech and more recently in State Secondary Schools. Rebecca holds a Bachelor degree in Communication and Media Studies. Her key strengths lie in streamlining office processes and procedures to improve output and efficiency. Outside of work, Rebecca is busy managing her two teenage children’s lives and in her spare time likes to indulge her creative side with her painting and upcycling skills.
Rhiannon Connolly
Having studied and worked in the behavioural sciences since 2004, Rhiannon’s wide-ranging experience includes an MSc in Social Cognition from UCL, a discipline forming the foundations of behavioural economics. This compliments her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Sociology, as does her training in NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming). Basically, if it offers insights into behaviour, she's interested! Similarly fascinated by health and biological sciences, she could hardly believe her stars when she had the opportunity to join HRW’s behavioural science team HRW Shift in late 2019. Prior to joining HRW, Rhiannon explored the space between people and technology as a Research Psychologist, before moving into market research where she co-founded her previous company's Behavioural Science Team. When not geeking-out about behaviour, Rhiannon is often found volunteering with young people, particularly through Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth-homelessness charity.
Rob Brocklehurst
Rob began his market research career in 2007 following a BA in English Language and Literature. Robert has worn many hats throughout his career, including being involved in a variety of fieldwork, operational and freelance roles in the past, and has worked as a translator following an MA in Translation Studies from University of Leeds. He has covered a whole range of methodologies from various perspectives and holds particular research interests in rare disease as well as patient-focused research. In his spare time, Rob enjoys days out in nature with his young family, science fiction books, and trying out new cooking ideas on the children with varying degrees of success.
Robyn Laurie
Robyn joined HRW in 2011 after completing a Masters in Evidence-Based Research at Oxford University. With previous degrees in Psychology and Linguistics, market research was the perfect career to bring all of her interests together. Robyn is experienced in a wide range of therapy areas and consumer health categories, and thrives on developing long-term strategic partnerships with her clients, with a strong focus on integrated insights to ensure the research ‘lives on’ within the clients’ business. Outside of work, good food, great wine, and travel are Robyn’s favourite things, preferably combined!
Rory Mitchell
Rory has a scientific background, from studying Biological Sciences at the University of Exeter. Following graduation, he moved to Brighton to work for Mindlab, a quantitative market research agency that specialises in understanding the unconscious drivers behind consumer behaviour. Rory has now started at HRW London as a Research Executive and hopes to bring his scientific perspective and interest in understanding human behaviour to the role. Outside of work, Rory writes and plays songs, as well as playing guitar in an instrumental rock band.
Saket Rao
Intrigued by the intersection of human behaviour and decision-making, Saket graduated with an MSc (distinction) in Behavioural Science from the London School of Economics and Political Science. His fascination for human behaviour and health is evident in his dissertation, which focused on applying linguistic analysis to differentiate linguistic markers unique to suicide ideation. Skilled at behavioural diagnosis, research design, and quantitative research, Saket has applied behaviour science principles to solve complex behavioural challenges. In his spare time, Saket likes to visit chess parks across London, strum the ukulele, and enjoy game nights with his friends.
Samyukta Kumar
Samyukta holds master’s degrees in clinical psychology and Behavioural Science from the London School of Economics. With extensive experience in behavioural science and healthcare, she has conducted numerous academic and field studies to better understand the drivers of preventive health behaviours. During her masters, she investigated communication strategies employed in healthcare settings to regulate inappropriate antibiotic usage in the patient community. Proficient in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, Samyukta's work adopts a holistic approach to bring context specific behavioural science evidence to the realm of health. Beyond her professional pursuits, Samyukta is an avid food enthusiast who manages a food blog in her free time. Additionally, she enjoys scuba diving, and other outdoor adventures.
Shaleen Chandler
Shaleen joined HRW in December 2021 as a HR Generalist, and brings over 20 years’ of HR experience having previously worked within organisations including global technology, automotive and education. She is currently an associate member of the CIPD (the professional body for HR and people development), is extremely passionate about employee experience, and is excited to have the opportunity to make a real difference and be part of the HRW team. Shaleen enjoys spending her free time with her 2 children, eating out with family and friends, walks with her dog and practicing a new found interest in meditation.
Sidak Seth
Sidak graduated from UCL having studied MSci Applied Medical Sciences. Throughout his degree, he covered a broad range of medical fields including neurology, oncology, and autoimmunity. He has always been more focused on the research aspect of life sciences, whether it be in the laboratory or conducting literature reviews, and wanted to expand his experience in the commercial side of the field, which is one of the main reasons he joined HRW. Outside of work, Sidak enjoys going to the gym, being active (whether it be sports or walking), watching anime, playing video games, and trying out new cuisines.
Sophie Bone
Sophie joined HRW in 2016 after receiving a Masters in Biochemistry from Oxford University, specialising in Immunology and Virology. Joining HRW allowed her to explore her interests in healthcare beyond just the molecular level, and she has particularly enjoyed working on some hard-hitting projects talking to late stage cancer patients across Europe. Outside of the office, Sophie plays three instruments; enjoys baking; and takes long walks in the countryside (although she doesn't enjoy them quite so much when it rains!).
Sophie Cooper
Sophie joined HRW as HR Administrator in February 2023 after completing her degree in Psychology. With Sophie’s passion for people and the operational side of businesses, along with her keen interest in healthcare and research practices, she is the perfect fit for HRW and we can’t wait to watch her skills develop further. Outside of work, Sophie enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, learning about exercise and nutrition, and is currently enjoying the trials and tribulations of renovating her first home.
Sophie Newman
Sophie joined the HRW Wallingford office in August 2022 and comes with over 8 years’ experience in admin and customer service. She has recently developed a passion in healthcare and market research and is excited to showcase her knowledge and expertise as a member of HRW’S Central Admin team. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her children, visiting family and planning her next trip abroad.
Sue Rees
In 2019, Sue joined HRW as a Global Director with a focus on ensuring HRW continue to delight our clients with high quality innovative research and strong partnerships. In addition to her broad research experience across a range of therapy areas and research approaches, Sue has a particular passion for facilitating client workshops and delving deeper into uncovering emotional insights around HCP and patient behaviour. Sue’s other passion is research in Emerging Markets and in particular the APAC region, having spent 2 years living in India and working in a research agency in Mumbai. As a graduate, Sue’s degree in Geography and Psychology led her naturally into a career in market research and she has never looked back! Her background spans both agency and industry-side, all within the healthcare arena. Out of work Sue loves active travel to ‘off the beaten track’ destinations with her family and is constantly researching her next adventure. She also enjoys running, skiing and making her own jewellery
Tenzin Gyaltsen
Tenzin's journey in healthcare began with personal experiences of limited access to healthcare in Nepal. He earned a BA in Chemistry with a minor in Physics, conducting research on developing accessible and cost-effective paper chips for malaria diagnosis. During the pandemic, he worked in NYC’s contact tracing and vaccine program where he realized the importance of utilizing patient data and feedback to enhance the healthcare experience. He strongly believes that this approach can improve access to healthcare and foster greater participation. In his spare time, Tenzin loves to delve in music production and mixed martial arts, particularly in discovering the stories behind songs and appreciating the athletes journey.
Tony Jiang
Human decision-making is something which Tony finds fascinating, and he is amazed by how insights from behavioural science can make significant impacts on people's outcomes. Tony joined the Shift team, HRW's in-house behavioural science unit, in early 2022 after working for an applied behavioural science consultancy in Australia where he managed and supported projects in the healthcare, government, FMCG, finance and technology industries. Prior to this, he obtained a MSc (Distinction) in Behavioural Economics from the University of Nottingham, which is where his interest in behavioural science really solidified. In his free time, Tony enjoys watching football, going swimming, and discovering new restaurants.
Tony Karalis
Tony graduated with a Bachelor of Science in computing and joined the MMR family in 2017, specialising in software development. He absolutely loves coding (perhaps a bit too much) when working alongside the HRW Data Science team, with most of his time being spent architecting solutions, leading, and growing the development team. Tony is a keen a mountain biker, and has never lived in 1 country for longer than 8 years.
Victoria McWade
Victoria has over 20 years’ experience in the industry spanning both agency and industry-side. She has worked on a wide range projects and therapy areas, but her career in the industry began in large, complex, multi-country disease and tracking studies- so she quickly learned the need to distil large amounts of information into sharp, key insights. Over the subsequent years, Victoria gained her more rounded experience across a wide array of qualitative studies. Victoria’s particular focus is in maximising the value offered to her clients. Having been a client herself in both, UK and Global roles, Victoria is all too aware of the need to push the research as far as possible, optimise engagement with internal stakeholders and provide truly actionable solutions for the business. Outside of work, Victoria enjoys travelling, good food and testing out her green fingers in her garden.
Vincent Huart
Vincent has an Integrated Master's degree from the University of Glasgow. In his placement year at Redx Oncology, he worked as an in vitro pharmacologist conducting his research in melanoma. A true man of science, he also has a background in cardiovascular pharmacology and neurodegenerative diseases. Before joining HRW in 2017, Vincent also worked in medical device market research for a year. Having proven himself to be a meticulous project manager and analyst, he has since worked in an MR capacity on a number of therapy areas including oncology, asthma and rare diseases, and he is a member of HRW's oncology team, OR:BIT. Vincent enjoys travelling to new countries and learning languages- as well as taking part in more extreme activities such as skydiving.
Zhilan Wang
Zhilan began her higher education studies at Boston University where she completed her undergraduate degree majoring in Biology with a major in Japanese Language and Culture, she then went on to complete her master’s degree in public health with a focus on epidemiology at New York University. Zhilan has a strong interest in life sciences and health-related industries, she also enjoys drawing, scuba diving, figure skating, and rollercoasters. At the weekend, you can easily spot Zhilan either at the cinema or dining out with friends.
