Our Shift team (HRW’s in-house experts in multidisciplinary behavioural science) continuously strive to explore ever evolving areas in the complex field of psychology, and the triggers and factors that underpin people’s behaviour in all aspects of life, but particularly in the healthcare market research area.

In episode 10 of the Shift podcast we are ‘talking about talking’. We use words all day long, but what do the words we use reveal?  In this episode, we discuss the power of looking at the words people use through the approaches of linguistic and discourse analysis.

This edition of the podcast features HRW Behavioural Analyst and former discourse analyst at the Cambridge Institute of Public Health Emma Neville and linguist and cultural expert turned HRW Research Executive Jen Vos. The podcast is hosted by Global Head of Behavioural Science Katy Irving
